“AI/ML may be the future, but don’t let that stop you from being a part of it today! Even if you don’t have any experience, you can still break into the industry and become a Product Manager. Just remember, the robot uprising may come, but you’ll be on the front lines leading the charge.”

In this blog post, I’ll discuss some practical tips on how to land that coveted Product Manager role in an AI/ML company, even if you don’t have any AI experience:

  1. Gain knowledge and experience in AI/ML: Start by learning the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning by taking online courses, attending workshops, or earning a degree in a relevant field.
  2. Build a portfolio: Work on personal projects related to AI/ML, and use them to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to potential employers.
  3. Network: Attend industry conferences, meetups, and events to connect with professionals in the field and learn about job opportunities.
  4. Get a related internship: Look for internships or entry-level positions at AI/ML companies to gain hands-on experience and learn about the industry.
  5. Show your passion: Show your passion for AI/ML in your resume, cover letter and interview.
  6. Learn about the company and the industry: Research the company and the industry, and demonstrate your understanding of their specific needs and challenges during an interview.
  7. Highlight transferable skills: Emphasize transferable skills, such as project management, problem-solving, and communication, relevant to a product management role in an AI/ML company.
  8. Get certified in AI/ML or other related fields to demonstrate your knowledge and skills to potential employers.
  9. Be willing to start at an entry-level: Be open to starting in an entry-level position, such as a data analyst or a business analyst, and work your way up to a product manager role.
  10. Be Persistent: Keep applying and networking, even if you don’t get the first job you apply for. Be persistent, and don’t give up on your goal.

Good Luck :))
